Now that the cover of Something More has finally been revealed (how cute are my little babies?) I thought it would be fun to share page one of the book.

As any writer knows, page one is probably the page that gets written and re-written the most. Page one has to do SO.MUCH.WORK. It has to introduce you to the main character without info dumping. Put you in an active scene. Most of all, it has to make you care about this stranger—a person you’ve only been acquainted with for a few lines—enough that you want to keep reading.

Maybe one day when I’m feeling brave, I’ll show you the original page one. Probably not though.
